He is a prominent representative of authentic gipsy music as well as of the innovative urban music.

 

 

 

 

 

 

He grew up in a small village surrounded by gipsy tradition, music and dancing was part of his everyday life. Soon it turned out that he is very talented. He played on the guitar regularly when he was only 6.

 

He moved to Budapest with his family when he was 8 years old, where he was influenced by a lot of musical impulses. He fell in love into flamenco music, he got to know different folk music etc. He prefered folk, rock and pop music as well.

He was a member of the Hold Theather between 1993 and 1995.

 

In 1996 he wins the Hungarian talent show with the formation of Lakatos Mónika és a Hold gyermekei.

1996 - 2000 he played with numerous bands and he was also a member of Romano Trajo.

He is a founder member of Jagalo Vurdon (later known as Romengo). They gave several concerts on european festivals.

His created his first own band called Nomada in 2005, which introduces a new sounding of authentic gipsy music. Still in this year he joined the band called Fabula Rasa.

 

He is a guest vocalist of Balogh Kálmán és a Gipsy Cimbalom Band from 2006.

In 2009 he was asked to join the american-hungarian production Fire and Fire (Ági Szalóki, Fatima Mohamed, Béla Szakcsi Lakatos, Chris Eddleton, Fred Cash Jr., Valerie June, Imani Uzuri, Kevin Louis, Dj Logic, Mazz Swift). The production gives two big concerts, one in Symphony Space (Broadway, New York, USA) and one in the Palace of Arts ( Budapest).

 

He was a founder member of the East Gypsy Band with the musicians: ELemér Balázs, József Balázs, Tim Ries, Lajos Sárközy, Vilmos Oláh, György Orbán. They attended to numerous successful american, canadian and european tours.

 

He is a member of the band Vojasa. It features rock, pop, reggae music with the origins of  authentic gipsy music. They had lots of successful tours all over Europe. Vojasa represents Hungary on WOMEX (World Music Expo) in 2013.

 

In 2013 he was invited to the large hungarian concert of Deep Forest with Márta Sebestyén.
