Sárközy Lajos

Lajos Sárközy was born in 1991 into a musician family. His father teached him to play on the violin first, when he was 5. Soon he started his studies at the local music school in Budapest, where his teacher was Szászné Judit Réger. When he was 13 he got into the Special Talents course at the Liszt Academy, his teacher was Eszter Perényi.

 

Lajos was only 15 years old when he won the Radics Gábor jazz-violin Competition. After that his first solo album came out with the title of I am only fifteen. In 2009 he had two solo concerts with the californian Silicon Grace Valley Symphonic Band. During the years he had the chance to play together with great musicians such as Béla Szakcsi Lakatos, Tony Lakatos, Roby Lakatos, Elemér Balázs, Tim Ries or Yoyo Mayer. He played all over the world with famous bands as a session musician.

2013 - Lavotta János International violin Competition - 1st price
