"Balazs Neumann is a new name to me, mainly because he is very involved in the Hungarian Jazz Scene... I have only heard 3 tracks from his forthcoming CD but what I have heard is very impressive....  His 'feather light touch' style of playing piano combined with a feeling not often observed is truly amazing.

With the trio of Balazs Neumann – piano, Laszlo Mathe – bass and Istvan Balo - drums , his composition 'Perception' is a gem; just brimming with emotion and passion and a total control of his instrument. The arrangement is superb with some very well thought through Bass lines from Laszlo Mathe emphasised with some soft and never overpowering stabbing from Balazs...



Awakening is a powerful yet meditative composition with an edge that is hard to define as it gives a soft urgency that is very erotic and powerful and at the same time soothing.
Balazs is a master of atmosphere, I would like to hear some more tracks before making a general conclusion..

Of the 3 tracks I have, 'With You' with it's classic jazz format, show Balazs's talent to the full. Again written by him, the composition and arrangement are just superb. Right down to the flourish of bells and the brilliant bass of Laszlo Mathe, this is indeed a masterpiece. I would like to hear a live version of all three tracks... the ambience is already there.... superbly recorded and produced the forth coming album is a must.. can't wait"
